Foil-Baked Salmon Recipe

Baked Salmon: The Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless salmon (at room temperature)
  • 2 small lemons, divided
  • 5 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • Chopped fresh herbs: basil, dill, parsley, thyme, or green onion (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 370°F and line a baking dish with aluminum foil.
  2. Coat the foil with cooking spray and place 2 sprigs of rosemary in the center of the dish.
  3. Thinly slice the lemon and arrange the slices on top of the rosemary. Place the salmon on top and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Place the remaining lemon slices and rosemary over the salmon.
  5. Juice one lemon and pour the juice over the salmon.
  6. Fold the foil around the salmon, leaving a bit of space for air circulation.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon.
  8. Once done, carefully open the foil and change the oven setting to broil. Return the fish to the oven and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the top is slightly golden.
  9. Cut the salmon into slices and sprinkle with additional fresh herbs before serving!

  • For a change, you can use parchment paper instead of foil.
